Mimi Yoshii is a Japanese-born dance artist based in Adelaide. Her practice moves across ballet, contemporary dance, Japanese dance, choreography, teaching and research into movement in virtual reality.

A ballet background with a wider artistic practice.
Mimi trained in classical ballet in Japan and in Nichibu, Japanese classical dance in the Wakayagi-ryu style. She now works across performance and choreography in Australia, with a practice that also includes teaching and movement research.
She is Artistic Director and Principal Dancer of Ballet Rogue, founder of Adelaide Sakura Troupe and an Honours researcher investigating how visually transformed bodies in virtual reality influence dancers and choreography.
