Mimi is to be commended for the inclusivity of ability, gender, sexual orientation and experience in this production. Ballet is often seen as an art form for the elite. Not so with Ballet Rogue who prove that you don't have to be attending a national ballet school to dance with confidence.

Mimi Yoshii demonstrated her flawless technique in Gamzatti's Variation from Bayaderka, Act 2 and made the stage hers with countless pirouettes.

Mimi Yoshii as Connie was amazing as the pocket rocket who barely comes up to anyone's knee. What she lacked in stature she certainly made up for in ability.

Since, to a person, they are impeccably performed, the audience gets the rare and satisfying experience of genuinely caring about all those characters singled out on stage. Lithe Mimi Yoshii lamenting short stature as Connie.
